Community

I am an organizer for Scarborough Families for Public Education, which is a non-partisan and independent parent and youth led organization advocating for a fully-funded public education system.

I also lead a private refugee sponsorship group, Port Union Cares, composed of 14 residents in my community in Scarborough-Rouge. My contributions were formally recognized by our Member of Provincial Parliament during the 2018 New Year Levee and, more recently, by our Member of Parliament.

I continue to lead this group of volunteers within my community and support newcomers who arrive with knowledge, skill, and insight from which I learn and by which I am humbled.

Our community work was featured on TVO’s Political Blind Date.
